The Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) in the department of radiology at Cook County values diversity, equity and inclusion. The literature suggests that heterogeneous groups make better decisions than homogenous groups. The CCC and PEC tries to balance its membership in terms of academic rank, gender, race/ethnicity, program role, and professional focus.
The interviewers of the candidates for the radiology resident positions also value diversity, equity and inclusion.
